The Semorishi
Project
Lion Mary Mahloko-Boardman, husband Lion
Ken and children Naledi and Sereto visited South Africa in May -June 2010 to
present a cheque to the school principal at Mary's home village Semorishi to
finance the building of a school library. The family also attended several
of the World Cup matches.
The Semorishi committee raised another
$6500 at a dinner dance fundraiser held on Sat 5th
March 2011 and will be able to send another AUD$6000 or ZAR$41742.75 South
African Rand to Semorishi which will help to put
the roof
on the building. |

2011: Here are
the latest pictures of the Semorishi School
Library building...as
you can see the AUD$12,000 or so that has
been raised over the last few years has
enabled the concrete building foundations
and double-brick walls to be constructed up
to the top of the door/window frames.
The
building size is
approximately
20metres x 8
metres with two additional rooms at one
end...

The
cheque converted from $6000 AUD to around
ZAR37,701 Sth African Rand.
