OPPORTUNITY SHOP
Due to the foresight of past and present members of the club including the late PID Ian
Stockdale, the Club purchased two adjoining shop front properties in Wadham
Parade, Mount Waverley.
One of these properties is leased to a retail business while the club
established its highly successful Opportunity Shop next door.
The shop's operations are supervised by a Committee of Management.
In the early days, the shop was operated by a team of volunteers - often the
partners of club members.
Today the shop is operated by a full time manager supported by a roster of
members of local community groups. Club members are responsible for shop
operations on Saturday mornings, often in partnership with fellow Lions from the
Ashwood-Mt Waverley Club.
